# Mihr

**Mihr** was a Sun Enterprise 420R server residing in the Sun rack in the Machine Room. This server was running a read-only replicated copy of Sun Directory Server (LDAP for NSS (user information database)). Mihr ran Directory Server redundantly with [Chuku](/obsolete/chuku.md), another 420R.

## History

**Mihr** was one of the donated Sun servers acquired by the CSL in the spring of 2005. It was replaced in 2008 with servers received from Sun through the [Sun Academic Excellence Grant](/machines/history/2008-sun-aeg.md).
